DESCRIPTION:
xxxx Plymouth Barracuda Fastback, 604 CI Hemi, 800 HP, XFI Fuel Injection This car has been a work in progress for the past 4 years I have over 200k in receipts; not including the 25k that I originally paid to purchased this car. Everything on this car is the best that money can possibly buy. There is only 900 miles on it since being completed, This car will attract attention wherever it goes. It is really a one of a kind car and with 800HP and 700 ft-lb of torque it is an awesome ride. A very cool feature that I would like to point out is the trunk lid. If you know what an original 69 barracuda trunk lid looked like, I am sure you can see what is going on here. The original lid used to come to the back of the car and then turn down at about 90 degrees for about 9-10" toward the bumper. Not anymore, Completely hand built from scratch. The smoke look around the exhaust is actually airbrushed on. The paint scheme flows throughout the car and into the door jambs. The interior is a totally custom and unique piece from Auto F/X with 6 way corvette power seats, tilt column, etc. Doing the interior was a huge project that lasted over a year. Every detail was painstakingly thought through and more often not, redone a few times to get it just right. Most cars you see tend to slack after completing the passenger area and dont continue with the same detail through the trunk space. Not this car, the trunk is just as cool and detailed as everything else. During the process of doing the interior I also decided to update the wiring with a power plus 16 wiring harness. Every piece of old, stock wiring from headlights to the taillights was removed and new installed. This was all done with modern whetherpak or Metri-Pack connecters, which makes it professional looking and very easy to work on if a problem ever arises. Something else to note here is the wire loom. There is no, cheap looking plastic, snap on wire loom on this car. The radio is a Kenwood 10 disk CD/DVD/MP3. There is a 5" Monitor behind each Sun Visor, Kenwood amps and switching unit. A little about the engine. First of all, the engine block is powder coated with a black wrinkle finish. Before that was done I smoothed out the entire block. (20 hours later). The aluminum water pump, brackets, intake valley, motor mounts, door sills, interior trim, etc. are also all powder coated with the same black wrinkle finish. This will hold up and stay looking awesome much longer than any paint possibly could. The camshaft bearings have been changed to roller bearings, which greatly reduce friction and the force needed to turn this engine over. Believe me, thats a nice feature when you have to turn an engine this size by hand for something like valve adjustment, (Huge difference). The Crower titanium connecting rods are also a great feature. They are almost as light as aluminum, but as strong if not stronger than steel. The compression wound up being 10.6:1 which is very streetable with standard high-octane fuel. Stage V aluminum heads (2.375" titanium IN/1.90" Stainless EX) and the Ray Barton rockers. Typical the hemi rocker are mounted on a shaft and you have to take them all off at once. Not with these, every rocker can be removed individually. Right now the engine has a cam with (248/252 duration and 704/622 lift. This is actually pretty mild for this engine. It is the cam that was used on the Dyno to make the listed horsepower and it runs great on 93 octane pump gas. IF 800 HP isnt enough for you and you want more, just change the cam. Ray Barton Racing Engines will confirm that this engine will make xxxxHp with a simple camshaft change. The reason I selected the cam that I did is quite simple, drivability. Besides with 700 ft-lb of torque it feels like xxxxHP anyway. The list below shows most of the important parts and sources that are on this car. Things that are not on the list are most of the custom parts I made myself. Just to name a few, alternator brackets, power steering bracket, throttle bracket, spark wire standoffs, front caliper brackets, center counsel switch plate, powe
